About Aerotyrnd

An R&D Division Spanning Three Continents

Aerotyrnd is the research and development division of Aerosim (HK) Limited, based in Hong Kong; Aero Systems PTY LTD in Australia; and Aerosystec in Malaysia. Our multidisciplinary team conducts applied research in aviation simulation, psychometric assessment, IoT-enabled training analytics, and AI-driven human factors evaluation.

Global Operations

Aerotyrnd operates across three jurisdictions, each with a distinct role in our research and development pipeline.

Aerosim (HK) Limited

Headquarters & primary R&D facility at Hong Kong Science Park

Located at Hong Kong Science Park, our headquarters houses the primary R&D laboratory, software engineering team, and administrative operations. This facility leads the development of QATE, UAAT, and the iFITS patent portfolio.

Aero Systems PTY LTD

Hardware engineering and simulator manufacturing operations

Our Australian operations focus on hardware engineering, simulator manufacturing, and quality assurance. Aero Systems PTY LTD manages the production of Console40 units and the A.A.I.O.D. mainboard fabrication pipeline.

Aerosystec

Regional deployment, training operations, and institutional partnerships

Aerosystec in Malaysia serves as our regional deployment hub, managing institutional partnerships, on-site training operations, and the coordination of case studies with universities and aviation training organisations across Southeast Asia.

Research Mission

Aerotyrnd exists to advance the science and engineering of aviation training. We believe that effective pilot development requires more than hours in the cockpit — it demands rigorous measurement, validated assessment frameworks, and intelligent systems that adapt to individual learning trajectories.

Our work bridges the gap between academic research and operational training environments. Every technology we develop — from the A.A.I.O.D. mainboard to the QATE analytics engine — is designed to generate actionable data that improves training outcomes and supports evidence-based decision-making.

Research Philosophy

Empirical Rigour

All assessment instruments undergo psychometric validation including IRT calibration, DIF screening, and multi-site outcome-linked studies.

Applied Innovation

We develop technology that solves real problems in aviation training — not technology for its own sake. Every system is designed for operational deployment.

Institutional Collaboration

Our research is strengthened through partnerships with universities and training organisations, ensuring ecological validity and practical relevance.

Research Domains

Our multidisciplinary team conducts applied research across four core domains, each contributing to a comprehensive aviation training ecosystem.

Flight Simulation Hardware

Design and manufacture of procedure training devices and flight training devices for single-engine and lightweight aircraft, including the proprietary Console40 platform and A.A.I.O.D. mainboard architecture.

Psychometric Assessment

Development of validated psychometric instruments for aviation aptitude evaluation, grounded in Item Response Theory (IRT), Differential Item Functioning (DIF) analysis, and construct validity research.

IoT-Enabled Training Analytics

End-to-end data pipeline from IoT hardware to cloud analytics — capturing 30+ time-series parameters per flight session for performance scoring, 3D flight path reconstruction, and debrief intelligence.

AI-Driven Human Factors

Patented eye-tracking integration (iFITS), biometric monitoring (iSENSORY), and cockpit voice analysis (COMMS) to measure situational awareness, cognitive load, and decision-making under pressure.

Integrated Technology Ecosystem

Our technologies are designed as an integrated ecosystem — hardware, software, and AI working together to deliver a complete training intelligence platform.
